Per il secondo trimestre Il Budget Office del Congresso stima un calo del Pil del 38%, Tradingeconomics e Deutsche Bank del 40%. The Conference Board prevede un tonfo addirittura del 45% su base annuale, con una caduta dei consumi del 54% e delle esportazioni del 35%. L\u2019Ocse prevede un crollo del 41,4% (vedi figura) e un tasso di disoccupazione del 17,5%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Secondo il US Bureau of Labor Statistics, l\u2019economia americana ha perso 20,5 milioni di posti di lavoro nell\u2019aprile 2020, dopo averne persi 870 mila a marzo. Prima della pandemia, l\u2019economia creava ogni mese circa 200 mila nuovi posti.
